you just wrote, that in the core there is a function that checks if the 
flag is set and then clears the fe_login internally. That's all that has 
to be done at that point. The cache control stuff might be somewhere 
else (some of the last things that are done before sending the page to 
the browser) and only checks for certain settings (is there a USER_INT, 
a fe_login etc.) and if there is no fe_login (because it has been 
cleared somewhere before) it's sending the headers. The cache function 
itself doesn't know about the flag as far as I understood.

Is it more clearly now?
