Hi there

Great to see the work has started for version 4.5 maybe one of the most 
important  versions to come for TYPO3.

The most important points i would focus on in this version would be 
making editors lifes easy. Ideas could be:

1. Merging of the backend and frontend. everything should be editable in 
the frontend even elements that are placed i other sysfolders. Or at 
least any task that an editor would face, should be achievable in the 
frontend. Of course you'd need a sitetree that should be a part og the 
administrationpanel or someting like that.

2. Everything should be achivable through a minimum of clicks or at 
least as AJAX'ed so the amount of pagechanges is reduced. Workprocesses 
should be analyzed and should be optimized. Sending a newsletter as an 
eksample should definitely be a one click workprocess. Choosing a 
pagetemplate or contenttemplate should be a one click thing in the 
frontend, with a pop up (or layer) showing the templates that can be chosen.

3. Spellchecking should be an integrated part of the front end an 
wrongly spelled words should be underlined (highlighted) ind the 
frontend when you surf the site as an logged in be-user. In fact 
everything should be editable right away without opening windows.

.4. And so on - a lot of hard work ahead.
