I'll reply to some stuff publicly because it might be of interest for
the whole list (and 4.5 design).

I agree that this (specifying button order) would be useless fuzz. I'm
not against your button order. It's good.

The buttons can stay grey, but the table row's background color could
be changed...maybe a little bit darker, maybe just white.
Alternatively, what about inserting a horizontal line between records?

Hmm, can't we make it more useful, then? For example, by moving the
top bar (page name and buttons) into that place? This is not just
related to your plugin, but about 4.5 in general.

V4.5 should have better defaults in this regard and not show all items.

Well, you could have two kinds of views for folders: list view and
image view  (like in WinXP)
The current system introduces a special distinction between images and
files although both could be handled the same way.

Why are files not part of a page's List View? You could handle files
exactly like any other items and completely get rid of the special
"Files" section. Files would be easier to find if they were part of
the main page referring to them.

Well, that was a wish for the 4.5 dev team.
