[Typo3-extrev] Is a kind of extension review system importent?

Hi,

I think it is important to get better orientation according to the
quality and usefullness of each extension to make TYPO3 a more
professional CMS. When I get a customer request to offer the
implementation of a special extension I have a problem if I have not
already worked with this extension. Is it usefull, is it rubbish, does
it match my requirements? Can I extend it to match them?

Still I need to install and test each extension, before I can give a
reliable offer. For offers that implement multiple extensions this
testing is often painfull and time consumting. The reaction time to give
a serious offer becomes slow comparing to competing commercial CMS.

Regards

Elmar
