[TYPO3-ect] Extension t3calendar composer install from TER fails

Hi,
a user recently reported that he was not able to install the extension 
t3calendar via composer (require typo3-ter/t3calendar, composer update)

He got an error:

[Composer\Downloader\TransportException]
"https://typo3.org/extensions/repository/download/t3calendar-1/0.2.0/t3x/"
file could not be downloaded (HTTP/1.1 500 Internal Server Error)

Downloading the same URL in browser works.

I noticed that the extension repository browser doesn't display 
t3calendar under https://typo3.org/extensions/repository/view/t3calendar 
(as expected) but under ...t3calendar-1 (which matches the URL above).

Could this be the reason for the failure?
Was there a temporary outage recently?
