[TYPO3-ect] A change on metatags?

Hello.

I tried to contact Kasper directly (since he is the author of metatags) 
in order to ask him if he could make a change on it to work on PHP 5.3.  
However his email bounces (I wrote to kasper2011 at typo3.org).

The solution to make that extension work on PHP 5.3 would be to change 
the line 85 of the file meta.php to:

     $val=trim(preg_replace('/,$/','',trim($val)));

What would be the best way to coordinate this?
