Hi Michiel,
I agree with you that it would be nice to use one extension in different
projects. But I think it's not so easy, as every lightbox has of course
several common options, but also some unique ones. Should we prevent using
them?
E.g. colorbox can have relative sizes (95% of screen height), while
perfectlightbox only offers absolut height (700px).
I took much code from perfectligthbox2 for my colorbox extension*, so I
think backporting this jquery code into pl2 shouldn't be too hard.
What do you think about a core lightbox feature?
I'm a bit sceptical...

* the extension isn't public yet, as the author of colorbox didn't respond
to my mails (so I think I'll just publish it without their logo in a few
days, as the code is MIT licensed).
