Hi Helmar, Hi Michael,
I tried "Michael plugin" for eclipse.
- http://www.eclipse.org/dsdp/tm/ (with SSH and)
This is really the ftp client for eclipse. It provides all functionality
seen in Dreamweaver and Quanta and it goes a little bit further. It is easy
to maintain directories, create nodes for fast access, well I am overcome
with it's potential.
Thanks very much Michael for sharing this information.
Thought one fault. I have a SVN repository on my laptop. When I do a
download of a node in the ftp server as a project to my laptop everything is
ok but when I try to add the project to SVN "boom!" a java bug vanishes my
smile.
I downloaded SSHFS for Ubuntu feisty (my OS :) ), and it seems really simple
and powerful to use, probably much faster then ftp. Although I had a problem
to finalize my test. My hosting company 3ix.org, does not provide ssh by
default, I must send my identification so they grant me that kind of access
and i still didn't arrange that.
I think maybe if I use sshfs to mount the remote folder on my local system I
will overcome my SVN problem and mantain all functionality.
Thanks for sharing,
:)
