I asked a question about tools in Eclipse and did not provide my current
tools! That is inappropriate of me and I apologize for my short
sightedness. Here is a truncated list of the plugins I currently use
with Eclipse Europa release 3.3 whilst mucking about with TYPO3.
PDT - PHP IDE from ZEND - http://zend.com/pdt
SQL Explorer 3.0 - DB Stuff - http://eclipsesql.sourceforge.net/
JSEclipse 1.5.5 - Javascript Plugin - http://labs.adobe.com
Subclipse 1.2.4 - Subversion Integration (I also use TortoiseSVN) -
find both at http://tigris.org with subclipse at
http://subclipse.tigris.org and they do not conflict with one another
when used together.
You can also retrieve the Zend Debugger from the same link as the PDT
which works very well. As an alternative I have also used XDebug with
the PDT and you may also wish to install KCacheGrind (WinCacheGrind for
Windoze).
Of course I also have the Web Standard Tools (WST Plugin), Eclipse
Modeling Framework (EMF), and the Visual Editor which are all pretty
much required. I have many other plugins including tools for XML and
others but they don't really need so much mention at the moment.
Aloha.
ps - Any Typoheads visiting Hawaii (Maui) at some point? Send me a note
via email and I would be happy to show you around and talk shop, or just
surf and forget the shop!
