We (the Web-Empowered Church Development Team) have been doing some
tx_party work behind the scenes to get more familiar with the code and
finish out all Dave's hard work on the data model. We plan on
continuing development just as Dave planned it originally so you are
certainly welcome to help with the pdf/csv part!

The link that Dave provided earlier to Trac and SVN will give you our
latest development code, so you can work from that at any time. Once
the data model is 100% complete in a few weeks, we'll do some kind of
alpha release that is a more stable base for different components to
build on.

Christoph Koehler is the main developer who will be working on this
from our side of things.
