I know, but i do not like prototype so much as i need to write my own
update functions on client site (i used prototype myself before i met
xajax).
And what i like most at xajax is the possibility to change several parts 
of the page with one ajax request without writing any js code myself.
And i think we should not burden the new ext-developer with writing
js code. He should concentrate on the typo3 part. If he (you) want to
use other js code you can change that easily.
