The current icon matches well with apples, bananas and cherries. That's
fine. :-)

The "ect-icon" is just a placeholder for a more sophisticated icon system.

I imagine icons that symbolize the functionality on the one hand, but have
some common visual elements on the other, elements that mark them as ECT
extension. Maybe we find a designer that can work out a CD. But let's wait
a little until the extensions are a little more widespred. It will be the
more motivating and the more likely to find a good designer.
