Hello,
The most correct name for it would IMHO be:$parameterArrayName.
But that is definitly to long.
I compared all the suggestions and consulted leo.org. First I wanted to
choose $parameterNamespace but that is still to long. Finally I
have choosen $designator for the following reasons:
1.) The term we are looking for is an identifier for the parameters.
Designator seems to be a synonym for identifier.
2.) It is short without being an abbreviation.
3.) It is not used in other contexts of TYPO3 so it is unique enough.
As the term designator is rarly used I am a little unsure if it can be
used in this sense. Please inform me if a use it in a wrong way.
Regards
Elmar
