I think the Zend framework is going to implement a form library. Right now
it's in the planning stage. Info about it is on their wiki[1].
Not sure about EZ library. Quickforms looks really powerful in that it
does everything from generating to validating to displaying, all
extendable. I haven't used it before though, this is just from a first
glance at their website.
I think it would be at least a start. If we want to use something else
later, we can, but either way, it will be easier to adapt something that's
already there instead of doing it all ourselves (which we tried, and it's
not much fun).
