Right. The search path is the reason, why I think such a central pear is
more usefull than extension based parts. You can make it a duty to set it
during TYPO3 installation. This way it becomes a solid fundament to build
extensions based on PEAR classes.

Is Oliver Hader somewhere around. Maybe he can manage to get this into the
next release.
