[TYPO3-ect] [TYPO3ext commerce] Next steps?

Hi guys,

Now that the long awaited commerce extension has been released to the
community, I thought it would be a good time to add it to maybe get it
into TYPO3xdev, create a newsgroup and get it into the bug tracker.

Do you guys think it requires its own newsgroup or will tt_products do?
I would assume a new newsgroup would be the way to go.

Regarding commerce development, there have been a number of unique
features built into the commerce extension which could become more
generic. I would like to see product categories contributing to Elmar's
up and coming global category framework. I also look forward to having
more generic product articles.

I have been in contact with Thomas regarding some of these issues and am
hoping we can all have some input.
