No, as a non copyright owner we cannot change any license, you need to 
be a copyright owner
to change a license. If you think it's possible to change licenses around,
then we should ask this to them aswell.
but I don't think I can download a LGPL piece of code, and re-distribute 
it as GPL.

The question is if MIT is compatible with GPL, if so I think that TER 
should allow all GPL
compatible license schemes.
