Hi Olly,

If you're interested in the Partner Framework 
(http://wiki.typo3.org/index.php/Partner_Framework), I would be glad to 
bring you up to speed! The first implementation of the extension 
'partner' was actually also my diploma thesis. :-)

I could well imagine that your diploma thesis could consist of a 
profound design (especially the API and the DB-design) as well as the 
implementation of a first version, which will lay the groundworks for 
the future add-ons. In my view it should be built in PHP5 and it would 
be nice if it could be implentended in a test-driven way (e.g. using 
t3unit).
