I have prepared real life tests now for ect_link. It works indeed as
expected.

The extension key is ecttest. I have put them into an own extension
because they come as plugin and I want to prevent them showing up in
the extension selection list for nontesting usages of the ECT library.

ecttest contains:

A) 21 usage tests in the plugin "Linkt Test"

B) 24 unit tests formaly in the extension ect.

You can run the Unit tests

B.1) From command line with phpUnit installed.
B.2) From the TYPO3 BE with t3unit installed.

The reside in the directory:

ecttest/tests/
