I am thinking about some methods equivalent to those currently in Static 
Info Library: 
http://typo3.org/documentation/document-library/extension-manuals/sr_static_info/current/view/

I am considering the possibility to make this extension obsolete in the 
coming weeks and wondering if the methods should be put in the base 
extension Static Info Tables or some other place.
