[TYPO3-ect] Partner Framework Kick-Off

Hi,

first of all I'd like to introduce myself shortly:
* 24 years
* living in the North of Bavaria (DE)
* student of computer sciences at University of Applied Scieces Hof (DE)
* self-employed on developing web-projects "inpublica" [1]

The "Partner Framework" will be the topic of my diploma thesis,
especially doing a review/redesign of data relations, implementing and
extending the extension by use of PHP5 and unit-tests.

So, during Dave's summer vacation I'd like to use the time to discuss
some things here in the ECT-list (a "pre-kick-off") and to workout some
pieces of that results.
Unfortunatelly I also was on vacation the last two weeks and missed the
T3DD06 subscription - now it's fully booked. But I'm sure that there's
still hope ;-)

The task-list on the Partner Framework could be:
1. redesign of the database model and generally the data structures
2. redesign of the API
3. improving backend usability
4. EXT partner_fe
5. EXT partner_sync (synchronization services for XML, CSV, ...)
6. EXT partner_mig (migrating "old" extensions to the Partner Framework,
   like tt_address, fe_users, ...)
7. reporting functions/modules

For my diploma thesis I'll concentrate on articles 1.-3. (database, API,
usability). Soon I'll publish my ideas here so we can discuss about.
