Hi,

these are my thoughts on my voting regarding chc_forum:

Pros:
- says that it creates valid XHTML
- great manual, many helpful screenshots
- a good forum is important to have

Cons:
- warnings in EM
- the file Thumbs.db shouldn't be there
- files ext_typoscript_constants.txt and ext_typoscript_setup.txt should
be in static/
- direct MySQL accesses instead of using the Typo3 DB wrappers
- It's based on PhpBB. PhpBB has a long history of security
vulnerabilities, but the manual says nothing about whether and how
regular security updates are handled and whether all known PhpBB holes
are fixed in this extension or not.
- bad coding style: no PhpDoc comments, double quotes, commented-out
code, hardly any comments, very huge functions, inconsistent indentations
- table-based layout, lots of inline styles
- no <label> in forms
