> * Your developing experiences
To be honest I am no "real" programmer with detailed knowledge about
design patterns etc. I do database design and programming in PHP and
VB.NET on an intermediate level mainly for creating TYPO3 extensions,
e.g. LDAP authentication.
> * Your experience with TYPO3 in special
My first TYPO3 project was a corporate website 2.5 years ago and in the
meantime I built some mid-sized websites and intranet portals. During
these projects I created a dozen extensions for various purposes
reaching from authentication and SSO to a payment solution.
> * Interesting TYPO3 projects you have done
Some extensions :-)
Seminar database with payment solution using VeriSign
Corporate websites with heavy CSS usage
> * Professional profile
Currently I am working as a senior consultant and project manager for
mid-scale software development projects. My last project lasted 1.5
years, included 2.000 days of work and was J2EE-based. In the near
future I want to gain some experience in SAP and Business Intelligence.
The TYPO3 stuff I do beside my normal job as a freelancer therefore I am
not able to complete really big TYPO3 projects.
> * Experiences in team leadership and project management
During my studies I founded my own company (it still exists) and built
up a team during my last project I lead a team of 8-12 persons over 1.5
years.
> * Your expectations for the ECT
- Improve compatibility of extensions.
- Deliver some best practices (how many of you copy parts of their code
from tt_news?).
- Create some concepts for SSO and TYPO3 portals.
- Setup extension rating again. Perhaps in a c't like style in the T3N
magazine for hot topics like calendar extentions.
> * Subprojects that you want to support
- Authentication, SSO, portals, "Partner Framework"
- Extension rating
- AJAX, mainly evaluation; currently I would rather do some prototyping
and watch the market. The whole thing is too hot to vote for one
implementation now and too complex to do our own.
Best wishes
Norman
