Introducing ECT members: Patrick Rodacker
I live in Bremen, northern Germany and I am a computer science student
at the University of Bremen.
* Your developing experiences
Developing is not my speciality though I have experience in different
programming languages and I am using PHP mostly for the webdevelopment
- basic JAVA programming during my studies, actually that's how I
started with the programming at all ;)
- basic C++ and openGL programming during a 2-year project about mixed
reality
- advanced PHP programming for standalone websites and within the TYPO3
framework
* Your experience with TYPO3 in special
- started about two years ago within the European project EVIGeM
- created several websites based on TYPO3 where www.evigem.com was the first
- developed several non-public frontend extensions
* Interesting TYPO3 projects you have done
- within the project EVIGeM I have developed a competence database
providing information about the EVIGeM members expertise within the
knowledge area of geometry measurement
* Professional profile
I am a student of computer science and started my own business in
parallel about 2 years ago.
* Experiences in team leadership and project management
- member of the steering committee of a 2-year student project
responsible for project management (18 project members)
- responsible for the IT management and parts of the project management
within the project EVIGeM
- project management for all projects realised via my own business
* Your expectations for the ECT
- a central coordination of the future extension development process
including the implementation of a quality control system and official
development guidelines
- review and rating of already existing extensions
- development of ready-to-go packages for different setups (community
website, small company presentation, universities, schools, bourses, etc.)
* Subprojects that you want to support
- FE / BE extension rating system
- Quickstart packages
So, that's all at the moment. Thanks again to Elmar for his effort to
bring this team alive in the first place and also to everybody
supporting this team.
Patrick
