[TYPO3-core] Supported browsers for the *backend*

Dear list,

which browser versions are officially supported ***for the backend***?
I would suggest to limit official support and testing to:

— Internet Explorer IE10 (Win8)
— Internet Explorer IE9 (Win7)
— Internet Explorer IE8 (Win7)

— Chrome OS X (current+one version before)
— Chrome Windows7/XP (current+one version before)

— Firefox OS X (current+one version before)
— Firefox Windows7/XP (current+one version before)

for current master / 6.1.
This explicitly drops IE7 ***optimization***.

Of course basic functionality should be ensured even for older browsers.
Of course hacks for IE7+below should be included where easily applicable.

What are the your thoughts?

Also:
Should tablets be included?


!! Of course: The frontend will always support all browser versions 
based on the template. !!
