Dear TYPO3 Community,

last week i had the pleasure to be your ghostly friend.
These are the numbers from last week:

Core
----------------------------------------------------------------------
 * created: 37
 * patched: 8
 * resolved: 4

Extbase MVC Framework
----------------------------------------------------------------------
 * created: 11
 * patched: 4
 * resolved: 6

On big issue several people told me in the last weeks is that changes/patches sitting in Gerrit for ages without any or enough reviews. It takes months to get an even simple change merged. And as longer it's waiting the chance someone gonna stumble over it gets even more less.
This fact is very disappointing for contributors, particularly for new ones.
How should we proceed with the growing number of changes in Gerrit?
What is the best way, to make sure your own patch is getting merged soon?
Do you have any idea how to motivate the people to do more reviews, so we can decrease the looong list of open changes?
Is there a way to get the total number of open changes? ("status:open project:TYPO3v4/Core")

Also many open issues on forge have a target version, which is already marked as "completed" in the roadmap (e.g. 4.7.1, 4.7.2, 6.0.0-beta2 6.0.0-RC2). Should we move them into a current version or unset that target version? What do you think?

This week Oliver Hader will be your friendly ghost. Tread him well.

kind regards
   Tobias
