I'm not a developer (more an intergrator) ... I would strongly prefer a
little more slowly development, but with more focus on stability...
only one relese per year (optimal named with the year) plus necessary
bug an security fixes in this year (plus security only fixes for one
more year)
every tree years a LTS version with 18 month more security fixes
if no LTS, than security fixes for 18 month (so one version could be
easily skipped)
