My first comment in Gerrit and a post I made a couple minutes ago will 
explain :)

Btw, I am really thankful to what you do. Do not get me wrong. It is just 
hard to see that the work we spent hours on, cannot be shared with 
everybody because of misunderstanding.

We often have performance issues with TYPO3, so I jump in every time when I 
can help to improve that. In this case we got a huge improvement and a 
happier customer. Just a small change with a huge effect.
