[TYPO3-core] backend layouts & allowed content elements

hi everybody,

wasn't an option "allowed content elements" (definable for each column via
the backend layout configuration wizard) introduced to backend layouts with
TYPO3 4.6.3?

some time ago (back then i used TYPO3 4.6.6) i could not find this feature
any more. now i use 4.7.4 and still can not find this feature.

does anybody know what happened? i searched the git repository but could
not find the commit which removed that feature.
