I was curious. Worked out well. First patch pending

Seems my vim removed a (duplicated?) BOM (<U+FEFF>) at the start of the 
file. I'm unsure if it is ok in this case ... vi does not tend to 
introduce problems with unicode handling, so I trust it until opposite 
is proofed ;)
