More properties to make it a good DAM replacement, yeah! And a few 
drivers for other storages would really show the power of FAL

+1 and maybe integrate aoe_linkhandler functionality?

Maybe also get a new graphics library which allows for remote 
processing, etc.?

* Doctrine integration (Thomas already did a quick (one hour) attempt 
and it looks promising); perhaps we can even replace dbal with the 
doctrine dbal. This would also mean that we can get rid of the mysql PHP 
module before it's completely abandoned by PHP.
