Attached a follow up which does this.

I won't be able to commit or change anything the rest of today and if 
this goes in, #17065 needs to be adjusted (again) to use the [MAIL] 
section instead of [SYS]...
It would be great if someone took care! (I'm fine with any changes to 
#17065 also as long as it keeps working)
