OK, I understand your point. At first I thought the flags were named 
after the ISO 639-1 code of the language. I was indeed wrong.

But there remains a problem about the new Extension Manager (and maybe 
also in other parts of TYPO3), because the language key is used (in the 
CSS class attached to an HTML tag) to display the corresponding flag. 
And, in the case of Canada and Catalan language, there is a collision 
between the language key and the country code.

So maybe we should add a mapping array between the language keys and the 
default flags that should be associated with them ? Or simply remove the 
flags associated with languages, as this makes no sense anyway...
