Well, who knows if an extension uses it somewhere. The function is not 
limited to be used in workspaces only.

I'd be fine to throw an exception if it is called with id=0 in 4.5 and 
trunk. Otoh, the function says, it would return a domain. That way, you 
would always get something "useful".
