!!WARNING!!

This is not what common Git documentation means when talking about a topic branch!

Rather this is a feature unique to Gerrit and I would call it "topic feature" or "topic tag" or whatever. A topic branch (as in real "git branch" branch) is what you (should) create locally to work on a, well, topic.
