But why do we use "\\" for objects and '\\' for everything else?
There's no difference, isn't it?
So I would opt for using the same code (just tell me, if you agree, I 
can update the patch).

The Debug Console suppresses backslashes in the output, in FE they're 
shown. Are you aware of this?
