FYI: The attached patch reverting the original patch was committed to

- trunk (revision 9190)
- branch TYPO3_4-4 (revision 9191)

The original patch caused unforeseen side effects such as described in 
issue 0016043: http://bugs.typo3.org/view.php?id=16043

However, issue 15622 remains solved as it was later fixed from the RTE side.
