First thing I thought when reading this was "Finally!". So here is my +1
by reading and testing and a big +1 for the idea itself.

I'm not sure if we should at the same time at least change the naming of
the TS Config options, too (options.enableShortcuts,
options.shortcutGroups).

The next big step afterwards is probably to cleanup the code (replace
all shortcut methods with bookmark methods...)
