[TYPO3-core] RFC: #14525: Workspacemenu JS is broken

Hi,

this is a SVN patch request.

Since images were replaced with spans (sprite-API) the javascript is broken.

I replaced spacer gif with sprite ('empty-empty') and fixed the 
javascript to work again.
