But it's the way this is currently handled by TYPO3. You can decide if you
want a fully blown help text, a question mark or no help at all in this
place.

AFAIR the default is having the question marks on.

The problem is that you might not recognize help texts being available at
all when there is no question mark. And there might be labels that don't
offer any help text at all. So a missing icon would indicate that instead of
forcing the user to hover over the label just to find out, there is no help.

For purists the cleaned up version will still be available after
deactivating the icons in the user setup.

So IMHO we should leave it like that.
