in general +1 by reading and testing, with some variable names nitpicking:

- $allowedCSSFilesinTempDir -> should be $allowedCssFilesinTempDir
- $TCAtables -> should be $tcaTables (later $tcaCtrl is used --> more
consistent to always use lowercase for the first part)
- $styleSheetTemplateTCA -> $styleSheetTemplateTca
