I do. In several projects. Some clients have extremely complicated
structures, with shortcuts all over the place, plus an extensive use of
nav_titles even in shortcuts, for example so that the pages in the page
tree have names that match administrative structures, but pages in the
FE have names more meaningful to the general public.
I also regularly configure the TCA to show this field, so I wouldn't
mind it to be visible all the time.
+1 on reading. If nobody else objects, I'll commit it.
