Yes, the problem  is annoying, but the solution could be better.

The root of the problem is that both TS and Form-CE configuration are mapped onto a simple minded
internal structure. Better would be to change this handling first.

And as Steffen wrote, we cannot change the existing separator. If we need a different one for the CE
then we will have to find another approach (eg a configuration).
