Because they are not real life images. so they do not really show if
transformations work correctly. You would prefer to test how imaging system
works on real images in the Install tool, not on your real pages :)

In addition such artificial images do not create more happiness. One thing
that we should have more is user's happiness. Logo is product centric, it
does not create emotions. We want users to love TYPO3. Having a good
picture of something enjoyable would create warm feelings towards the
system. It is about "I like it but can't really explain why".
