+1 on reading and testing.  Will commit to trunk and 4.4 in a few minutes.

Ralf, just a note for future patches. Please make them relative to the 
main TYPO3 source directory so that testers can more easily apply the 
patch.  Otherwise, looks great and thanks for the fix!
