[TYPO3-core] RFC: #15082: [openDocs] Exception is thrown if a record isn't found

Hi,

Funny I stumbled on the same issue yesterday evening, but had no time to 
submit my patch yet :-)

In the spirit of avoiding early returns, I encapsulated the whole inside 
the test in my patch. I'm attaching it here as an alternative.

Other than that +1 on reading and testing. Almost a no-brainer, I was 
actually considering doing it as a FYI.
