Committed to trunk rev. 8551.
I added a second test for the binary thing in t3lib_db and committed as
follow-up, rev. 8552.
@Steffen: I'd expect both tests to fail for you (for whatever reason,
we'll see if someone is able to track this down, they run for me and I'm
unable to reproduce your weird issue).
Thanks for all reviews helping to get this neat feature in! And yes,
documentation for the caching framework will follow, it's one of my next
tasks.
