Not really, I'd even go so far and give this one a -1 (no veto though 
;-)), because I can already envision $TYPO3_CONF_VARS fill up with 
from-address,reply-to-address,from-name,reply-to-name etc... for default 
values.

The thing is, I don't know a better solution right now, so I'm kind of 
undecided what to do.
