I'm not sure, what you mean exactly:

Should I set a class-variable to 'sys_lockedrecords' ? e.g.
    protected $lockedRecordsTable = 'sys_lockedrecords'
If so: would this name me OK for you ?

And what about the "userid" ?
The active FE-User _is_ $this->fe_user - or do you mean
something different ...
