I took a look at this patch in hope to get it ready before feature 
freeze.  But there are some loose ends (like the mm relation, duplicate 
code and some workspace issue. So, this needs more thinking and thus 
won't make it for 4.4.

Happily, there is already a hook in place, which should enable hackers 
to implement the processing. We will do this for now, and will try to 
come up with a clean core solution for 4.5.
